Maryland casinos generate more than $165m in September

Maryland’s six casinos pulled in over $165m in gaming revenue last month, contributing $69m to the state.

US.- The Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency has released gaming revenue for last month. Numbers were up 15 per cent compared to September 2020 but failed to hit August’s figure of $168.5m. Casinos contributed $69m to the state including $50.1m for the Education Trust Fund.

MGM National Harbor generated $69.5m, an increase of $12m (20.9 per cent) from September 2020, when casinos were limited to 50 per cent capacity due to Covid-19. Live! Casino & Hotel generated $56.4m, an increase of $7.3m (14.9 per cent) from September 2020

The Horseshoe Casino saw revenue of $17.5m, a decrease of $81,279 (-0.5 per cent). Ocean Downs Casino took $9m, an increase of $1.3m (17.4 per cent). Hollywood Casino took $7.5m, up $743,730 (11.1 per cent), and Rocky Gap Casino $5.4m, up 6.4 per cent.
