US.- Maryland’s three largest casinos have been approved for sports betting by the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Commission (MLGCC).

Horseshoe Casino in Baltimore, Live! Casino & Hotel in Hanover, and MGM National Harbor in Oxon Hill have met the qualification requirements for sports wagering licences. The venues are the first of 17 locations named in the state´s sports betting law to officially qualify for a retail sportsbook license.

Horseshoe Casino in Baltimore plans to open a retail sportsbook and mobile betting app in partnership with Caesars Sports. Last month, the company announced a deal with the Baltimore Ravens and the casino.

MGM National Harbor in Prince George’s County will open a BetMGM Sportsbook & Lounge with a capacity for 350 people. The National Harbor lounge is expected to open in mid-October as a food and beverage venue until the license for sports wagering is approved by the state Commission.

Live! Casino and Hotel in Anne Arundel County will allow customers to watch games and play casino games at its Sports & Special sports lounge, with retail sports betting offered through a partnership with FanDuel at launch.

Although voters in Maryland approved sports betting last year, it might not launch until the end of the year.
