“ICE Africa is where the future of the gambling industry is created”
(Exclusive interview).- The second edition of ICE Africa is just a couple of weeks away, and TVBET’s CEO Peter Korpusenko talked to Focus Gaming News about the expectations for the event.
ICE Africa is positioning itself as the leading event of the African gambling industry, which is continuing to grow at a fast pace. This development was aided by the fact that last year was the first time that the iconic ICE brand was used outside the UK, attracting attendees from dozens of African nations.
2019 is the year in which ICE Africa makes its second appearance, and TVBET is once again ready to showcase its power at the event, taking place on October 2-3 in South Africa.
Peter Korpusenko, CEO of TVBET, talked with Focus Gaming News ahead of ICE Africa and shared his assessment of the local industry, as well as the company’s plans for the event.
The African continent is invested in mobile gaming, eSports and online gambling. As a Cyprus-based world live-games provider, what opportunities do you think an event like ICE Africa will bring to your company for the near future?
As a platform for communication, ICE Africa is a special place where the future of the gambling industry is created. The event where the biggest market driving companies might exchange their knowledge thus creating a new wealth. And it’s a great opportunity for us to share TVBET’s betting and gaming expertise of European markets and CIS.
We intend to introduce the potential of fast live-games for gambling and sports betting operators. The figures of our partners that integrated TVBET showed that 30% of the profits comes from live games. People in Africa are empowered to interact with the newest products in online gambling, which is why our company would like to give them that opportunity.

New visual identity has already been actively integrated into the company’s communication. We will be delighted to present the results of our work for the audience at the upcoming event. Also, we’re working on the creation of a new website now.
For all ICE Africa participants this year, TVBET has prepared new metrics of growth through fast live games integration based on realistic data. In addition, we’d like to present our new promotional features for partners that can be implemented along with the integration immediately.
How do you assess the current situation of the gambling industry in Africa? How do you think TVBET is positioned to insert itself in emerging markets?
The African gambling market was still largely untapped. Taking technology development into account, many of the world’s companies realise its high attractiveness. Some directions remain uncovered, that’s why the industry expects a serious surge of investment in the coming years. Indeed, this is already happening.

In regards to the immediate future, our team is actively working on the introduction of marketing support service for partners. We’ve already launched this activity for a couple of clients in test mode, and the first results are quite impressive. So, in average thanks to the TVBET marketing promotion the number of bets is increased by 56% a month. Our company offers jackpots, free spins, promo codes on our games. In doing so, our partners won’t have to worry about the promotional part — we’ll do it ourselves.
