US.- Tennessee’s sports betting gross handle totalled $298m in July, up 8.7 per cent year-over-year and down 16 per cent from June. It was the lowest handle since August 2024.
According to the Tennessee Sports Wagering Council (SWC), after $7.1m worth of adjustments, gross wagers amounted to $305.1m. Privilege tax from wagering was $5.5m. Operators pay 1.85 per cent of their betting handle – Tennessee is the only US state to calculate tax in this way.

Earlier this year, SWC fined offshore sportsbooks Lowvig and Sportsbetting.ag $50,000 each for operating illegally. The regulator said they had failed to comply with cease-and-desist letters issued in April.
