The firm has been approved to launch its Jackpot City, Royal Vegas, Ruby Fortune and Spin Casino brands in the Canadian province.

Canada.- Super Group, the parent company of sports betting operator Betway and online casino Spin, has been approved to launch four online casino brands in Ontario. it will launch Jackpot City, Royal Vegas, Ruby Fortune, and Spin Casino.

The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) has approved licences for all four brands. While many licences in Ontario’s market are for just one year, each of Super Group’s licences has been granted for two years until June 2024. Super Group’s sports betting brand Betway received a licence in April.

The new licence approval follows launches from operators such as PokerStars, Casumo, and SkillOnNet.

In April, Super Group announced full-year 2021 financial results for its operating subsidiary, SGHC Limited. Revenue increased 45 per cent to €1.32bn, up from €908min the prior year. Profit was €235.9m compared to €149.2 million in the prior year. EBITDA increased 46 per cent to €314.5m.

The increase in revenue was primarily attributable to strong organic growth in most markets, despite the impact of tightening regulations in some European markets and exits from others.

Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation partners with Major League Baseball

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) has announced a multi-year partnership with Major League Baseball (MLB). The deal makes OLG’s Proline sportsbook product an MLB official sports betting partner. It’s the League’s first sports betting partnership in Ontario.

This deal designates the crown agency’s Proline+ wagering platform as an MLB official sports betting partner. It includes distribution rights on official logos and cross-promotion across digital and social channels. OLG’s Proline has its Proline+ online offering plus retail at nearly 10,000 lottery outlets across Ontario.
