Playtech considers move to the UK mainland

The company is currently incorporated and headquartered on the self-governing Isle of Man.

UK.- Playtech is considering relocating its tax registration and headquarters to the UK.

The gaming company is currently incorporated, tax registered and headquartered on the Isle of Man, a self-governing British Crown dependency.

The board has proposed a move to mainland Britain in early 2021, saying that it would offer an overall benefit to the business.

It believes it would benefit from being able to host board meetings and other shareholder meetings in the UK, which could help encourage greater shareholder participation.

Playtech said the move would “better align it with its expected future operational substance.”

The proposal will be discussed at a general meeting on the Isle of Man on December 18.

Playtech has recently agreed a deal with Casumo to launch its casino and live dealer software with the operator in Sweden, Denmark, Spain and the UK.

Earlier this year, the British Gambling Commission found Playtech subsidiary PT Entertainment Services guilty of serious social responsibility failings.

Playtech recognised the past failings and said they were not representative of the company today.
