Pennsylvania regulator issues fines for sports wagering violation
The PA Gaming Control Board has fined the operator of Hollywood Casino at The Meadows.
US.- The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) has approved consent agreements presented by the Board’s Office of Enforcement Counsel (OEC), issuing fines totalling $10,000 against Washington Trotting Association, operator of Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, and Sports Information Services Limited. The penalty was for permitting an individual to post 35 past-posted sports wagers.
The PGCB also approved recommendations for the placement of 19 people on its Involuntary Exclusion Lists. Some left minors unattended at a casino. Currently, 1,363 people are on various Involuntary Exclusion Lists.
The board said: “Actions such as these to deny statewide gambling privileges serve as a reminder that adults are prohibited from leaving minors unattended in the parking lot or garage, a hotel, or other venues at a casino since it creates a potentially unsafe and dangerous environment for the children.”
