New York mobile sports betting handle rises in September

The handle increased by 10.6 per cent year-over-year and 12.3 per cent from August.

US.- The New York mobile sports betting handle totalled $2.29bn in September, up 10.6 per cent year-over-year and 12.3 per cent from August 2025. Revenue was $193.8m, down 5.3 per cent year-over-year but up 8.8 per cent from the previous month, according to the New York State Gaming Commission.

The hold was 8.47 per cent. FanDuel led the market with $77.6m in revenue from a $790.4m handle. The operator accounted for 40 per cent of all revenue in September. DraftKings followed with $66.7m in revenue and a handle of $870.6m, while Fanatics reported $20.5m in revenue and $219m in handle. BetMGM took $10.9m from $149.8m in wagers and Caesars $10.9m from $152m.

Rush Street Interactive reported $3.6m from $45.9m in wagers, and ESPN Bet $2.8m from $47.1m.

From April to September, the handle totalled $11.7bn and revenue $1.2bn.

New York’s Gaming Facility Location Board considers casino applications

The New York’s Gaming Facility Location Board has held its first meeting to deliberate over the applications for the state’s gaming licences. Four projects continue in the process.

The five-member panel comprises Cindy Rubi Estrada, Vicki Been, Terryl Brown, Marion Phillips, III and Greg Reimers. They will submit recommendations to the New York State Gaming Commission (NYSGC), which will make the final ratification. A decision is expected for December 1.
