New tribal casino in Washington
A new US$100 million casino will be built in Washington to replace the Quil Ceda Creek Casino.
US.- The Tulalip Tribes announced that they’re planning a US$100 million gambling facility to replace the Quil Ceda Creek Casino in Washington, United States. In the last few years, the tribes have become one of the largest employers in Snohomish County.
The facility will feature 110.000 square foot casino space and will be built across the street from the existing casino. QCC2, it’s informal name, will also have more entertainment and dining opetions, as well as a spacious gaming floor and 1200 stall garage with fast ramp access.
Marie Zackuse, chairwoman of the Tulalip Tribes, believe that the facility will compliment the Tulalip Resort Casino, which is located three miles away, local media reported. “It’s time for a new one. We’re going to keep it as the locals’ casino and cater to what they like. It will be more entertainment and more food venues, but keeping that feel for the locals,” she said.
If everything goes as planned, the tribes will start working on the new facility later this year and will finish in late 2018 or early 2019. Marysville Mayor Jon Nehring said” “We view ourselves as a close knit community and a lot of our partnerships with the Tulalips are built around trying to find ways to benefit both sides of the freeway.”
