Hard Rock Bristol celebrates opening in Virginia
The resort has nearly 1,500 slot machines, over 50 table games, a sportsbook and a hotel.
US.- Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Bristol in Virginia has opened. Hard Rock executives and partners, state and local officials and community members watched a Hard Rock guitar smash and a concert by Blake Shelton at the new venue.
The opening was originally scheduled for July, but Hard Rock was granted a six-month delay. A temporary casino opened in July 2023 and received more than three million guests and paid more than $66m in gaming taxes.
Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Bristol covers 620,000 square feet and features nearly 1,500 slot machines, 50 table games, a sportsbook, a 303-room hotel and dining options, including a Hard Rock Cafe, Council Oak Steaks & Seafood, YOUYU Asian Dining, Constant Grind, and the Marketplace. The facility also houses a Rock Shop, a 2,000-plus seat Hard Rock Live and music memorabilia.

Churchill Downs opens Rose Gaming Resort in Virginia
Churchill Downs Incorporated opened The Rose Gaming Resort in Dumfries, Virginia. The entertainment resort has 1,650 historical racing machines, eight bars and restaurants and a hotel with over 100 rooms and event space. The 175,000-square-foot entertainment venue has 2,500 parking spaces and 62 acres of greenspace with a 7-acre public park.
CDI invested $460m in The Rose and has created approximately 500 permanent jobs. According to the company, the development will contribute to the expansion of thoroughbred horse racing in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
