Nevada gambling revenue decreases in February

Gaming revenue was $1.21bn in the second month of the year.

US.- The Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) has reported that the state’s casinos generated $1.21bn in gaming revenue in February. That’s a decrease of 9.28 per cent year-on-year and behind January’s revenue of $1.44bn

The Las Vegas Strip generated $690.3m, down 13.8 per cent year-on-year. Clark County as a whole, which includes the Strip, downtown Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, the Boulder Strip and surrounding areas, generated $1bn, a 9.6 per cent decrease. Washoe County, which includes casinos in Reno, Sparks and North Lake Tahoe, generated $78.5m, down 5.2 per cent year-on-year.

Slots accounted for $815.9m of all revenue, down 1.4 per cent compared to February 2024. Table, counter and card games revenue decreased by 22 per cent to $524m. Nevada sportsbooks won $41.3m, down 13.8 per cent compared to February 2024 with a hold of 6.8 per cent. Sportsbook wagers totalled $604.8m, down 15 per cent year-on-year. 

The state collected $75m in percentage fees during the month of March 2025, based upon the taxable revenues generated in February. This represents a 6.72 per cent (or $4.7m) increase compared to last year’s March, when percentage fee collections totalled $70.4m.
