Mississippi casino revenue increases in May

Casino revenue rose by 6.6 year-over-year.

US.- The Mississippi Gaming Commission (MGC) has reported that casinos in the state generated $223.6m in adjusted groos gaming revenue in May. That’s a rise of 6.6 per cent year-over-year and up 14.3 per cent from April ($195.5m).

The regulator breaks revenue down across three regions: Central, Coastal, and Northern. Coastal casinos registered the highest revenue at $142.9m, up 4.7 per cent year-over-year. Casino revenue in the central region totalled $29.1m, up 5.8 per cent from the same month in 2024, and casinos in Northern region reported $51.4m, up 12.6 per cent.

The sports betting handle totalled $22.6m, down 16.3 per cent year-over-year. Taxable revenue totalled $3.4m. The coastal region represented more than half of the handle at $14.3m. The Central region generated $5.7m and the Northern region $2.6m.
