US.- Louisiana’s sports betting handle totalled $381.2m in February, up 39 per cent from February 2024’s $274.8m. Mobile betting generated $355.7m, up 41 per cent, and retail betting $25.5m, up 18 per cent.

Net proceeds from sports betting were up by 90 per cent year-over-year to $47.6m. Of the total, $45.1m came from mobile betting and $2.5m from retail betting. Parlay betting led the market with net proceeds of $31.1m while mobile betting net proceeds from American football were negative -$1.2m. Net proceeds earned the state $7m in betting tax, up 87 per cent from February 2024.

In the fantasy sports sector, revenue increased by 42 per cent to $1m, and net revenue increased by 38 per cent year-on-year to $126,731.
