Kentucky sports betting revenue rises in August

Revenue increased 87 per cent year-over-year.

US.- Kentucky’s sports betting revenue totalled $22.1m in August, up 87 per cent year-over-year. The handle was $193.1m, up 27.5 per from the same period in 2024.

Retail sportsbooks took $744,000 in revenue from a $5.5m handle. On-track and online live racing wagers totalled $11.3m. DraftKings reported a $71m handle, up from July’s $57.3m, and $7.1m in revenue. FanDuel totalled $60.2n in handle and revenue of $82m, while bet365 reported a $20.4m handle and $1.6m in revenue.

Through the first eight months of the year, sportsbooks generated a $1.7bn handle and $193.3m in revenue. In August, Circa Sports Kentucky opened its new sportsbook at The Mint Gaming Hall Kentucky Downs in Franklin.
