Kentucky sports betting handle increases in July
The handle was up 25 per cent year-over-year.
US.- Kentucky’s sports betting handle totalled $161.4m in July. That’s a rise of 25 per cent year-over-year. Gross revenue was $17.7m, up 15 per cent and adjusted gross revenue $17.3m.
DraftKings led the online market with a handle of $57.3m, up from $47.9m in the same period last year. The operator reported $6.7m in gross revenue. FanDuel generated a handle of $52.5m and gross revenue of $6m.
Churchill Downs led the retail sector, with a handle of $864,328. It was the only in-person sportsbook to surpass $100,000 in revenue. Red Mile totalled $62,000 in revenue from a handle of $533,642.
According to the Kentucky Horse Racing and Gaming Corporation, operators paid $2.4 m in taxes, taking the year-to-date total to $24m.
Last month, Circa Sports Kentucky opened its new sportsbook at The Mint Gaming Hall Kentucky Downs in Franklin.
