Irina Rusimova, Chief Business Development Office at EGT Interactive, granted an exclusive interview to Focus Gaming News in which she shared her views regarding the upcoming GAT Expo and the company plans for 2022.
Exclusive interview.- Irina Rusimova, Chief Business Development Office at EGT Interactive, spoke with Focus Gaming News about the return to GAT Expo, Gaming & Technology. She also revealed the renowned products the company is planning to introduce at the event and which plans EGT Interactive have for the Latin American market.
EGT Interactive will be present at GAT Expo. What can we expect to see from EGT Interactive?
GAT Expo is a great opportunity to showcase our most renowned slots 40 Super Hot, Burning Hot, Shining Crown, Flaming Hot and in addition to numerous new products, features and verticals. We will emphasize on the latest editions in our portfolio 20 Golden Coins, Orient Story, Viking Rising, Secrets of Sherwood and our Live casino.

EGT Interactive has started 2022 with the launch of its new Live Casino Platform. What can you tell us about this gaming experience? What feedback did you receive from the players?
We already have the platform live on number of our operators in several markets and we are shortly expecting to add it to our operators in Bulgaria and other regulated markets. So far, the feedback we receive is really great and we are already looking forward to launch the product in more markets while we are constantly adding more tables and developing new games.
As EGT Interactive plans to grow in Latin America, which countries are you focusing on to expand your business in the region? Have you already started working in any?
We are already live with operators in the regulated markets of Colombia and Mexico. Shortly we are expecting to be live also in Argentina Province and City. As we highly evaluate the potential of the LATAM market and the popularity of our games there, we are constantly monitoring the regulatory changes in the region.

What business model are you planning to develop in Latam?
Our business models rely on the popularity of our portfolio and on our existing and long term relations with the local operators – some of whom we are already working within other markets. We are also looking forward to expand the portfolio with games and features that are interesting and preferred choice for the local players.
With so much market competition in Latin America, what aggregated value does EGT Interactive plan for the operators in the region?
As a well-known provider in the industry, EGT Interactive has a proven base of fan players, long-term partners, and a highly experienced team of professionals supporting our partners 24/7. As we are transferring our long-term expertise and success from Europe to LATAM, we are certain that the local operators in the region will recognize the high-end product we provide and the value that it will add to their online operations.

One of the reasons why online casinos have grown in the last year is due to the Covid-19 pandemic restrictions. Do you think the market will continue developing in the same way?
At this point we do not see a major withdrawal of players or drastic change of results. The advantages of online play such as – the possibility to play from the comfort of your home or on the go, the privacy and the variety of games and verticals which the online casinos are offering, are recognized by the players too. Even before the pandemic there was a trend of the online casinos’ share growing constantly and we believe that this trend will continue.
What are the next steps for the company and what are the upcoming challenges for 2022?
We are at the beginning of a quite hectic period – starting with GAT expo and then followed by SAGSE, ICE, iGB Live and many more. We also continue to develop new games and improve the offering to our operators, new certifications and new market – entries will follow.
