Golden Nugget partners with Kansas Boot Hill Casino
Golden Nugget Online Gaming (GNOG) has secured market access in Kansas with Butler National Corporation.
US.- Butler National Corporation, operator of Boot Hill Casino & Resort in Kansas, has entered into an agreement with DraftKings-owned Golden Nugget Online Gaming (GNOG) for its online sportsbook.
Under Kansas’s new sports betting law, Boot Hill Casino and the other casinos in the state can contract up to three sports wagering platforms. The casino will also offer a retail sportsbook at its Dodge City location. The deal with GNOG is subject to the receipt of licences and regulatory approvals.
Clark Stewart, Butler National president, said in a statement: “We are working diligently with regulators to bring sports betting to Kansans by September 1, 2022. We’re pleased with the regulatory efforts by the State of Kansas to implement sports wagering in Kansas.
Stewart added: “We’re excited for DraftKings, as the parent company of Golden Nugget Online Gaming, to be able to bring Kansans a seamless, safe and premium sports betting experience through its GNOG branded sportsbook, subject to receipt of requisite regulatory approvals.”

The Kansas Lottery has approved Butler National Casino’s sports betting contract. Kansas Star Casino, Hollywood Casino at Kansas Speedway, and Kansas Crossing Casino & Hotel have also been cleared to launch sports betting from 1 September.
Kansas sports betting launching
Governor Laura Kelly has announced that sportsbooks at Kansas’ four state-owned casinos can begin accepting wagers in person and on mobile platforms from September 1 in a soft launch. The full launch will come on September 8, the same day the NFL season starts.
Last week, BetKansas published predictions on the sports betting handle that Kansas can expect in its first year of regulated sports betting. It estimates that the state will see a $1.78bn handle in the first 12 months.
