“G2E has catapulted Ortiz Gaming into the future”
(Exclusive interview).- Alejandro Ortiz describes to Focus Gaming News how Ortiz Gaming conquered G2E.
Ortiz Gaming is ending a successful year in which every goal achieved has helped the brand to become the leading and biggest Video Bingo distributor for the international land-based casino industry. As Ortiz Gaming’s performance at the relevant gambling event in Las Vegas has confirmed the impeccable position of the company in the sector, G2E has also deepened the presence of the distributor in new markets and offered the chance to prepare for further deals with exclusive partners. Alejandro Ortiz, founder and chairman of the video bingo company, reveals the results of Ortiz Gaming’s strategies during the event and the whole year.
What did you think of this year’s event?
G2E this year was spectacular! It was one of the best attended shows in years and the new floor layout and traffic created a fresh feeling to the show. It was an exciting event and proved to be successful three days for Ortiz Gaming.
What G2E moments did you think were the best?
Every day of the show was very exciting, from the award ceremony the first day where we were shortlisted for Land Based Supplier of the year to the last moments before we packed up to head back. But our best moment was when the show floor opened, everyone on our team has worked hard to have a floor full of new products on display, and the immediate rush and excitement of people to our booth to see our offerings was such a great moment.

You’ve recently said that G2E was the beginning of a new era. How does G2E impact on Ortiz Gaming?
This year at G2E everything in our booth was new; new games, new iContent, new updates to our cabinets and new product categories. We have expanded our offerings for both Ortiz Gaming and Ortiz Interactive, and we have grown quickly in these new verticals. This year we displayed products in multiple languages, including English, Spanish, Portuguese and Chinese, which reflect markets that we have had strong traction or are emerging.
To add to this, at G2E we introduced the New Concept in Video Bingo. For years as technology advanced and the size, resolution, and even touchscreen enchantments have gotten bigger and better, we did the same to our games. Bigger games, intuitively where better games; and for some games this is true, but not for Video Bingo. With a simple idea, we introduced a new concept, a new screen layout for Video Bingo; we have made the game ergonomic reduced the size to fit the player’s needs, there is no need to “fill” the screen, just fill the player with excitement. We expect this change to become industry standard for Video Bingo. With this, growth, and industry validation we received at the show, we begin a new era as a top global leader in gaming.
What is the next big step for Ortiz Gaming?
We will continue to innovate! Technology is advancing exponentially and we need to stay focused on making sure we are producing products which are hi-tech, fun, innovative and relevant to the landscape of the market. This can only be done through the continued pursuit of innovation!
