G2E Asia postponed due to Coronavirus crisis

Gambling expo due to be held in May will now take place from 28 July to 30 July at the Venetian Macau

Macau.- The organisers of Global Gaming Expo (G2E) Asia have taken the decision to postpone the show until later this year due to the ongoing Coronavirus crisis impacting Asia and the rest of the world.

The expo, one of the largest conferences dedicated to the gambling industry in Asia, was due to take place from 19 May to 21 May at the Venetian Macau, but has now been pushed back to 28 July to 30 July.

The Coronavirus outbreak has seen countless travel bans put in place making it difficult for the organisers to put the expo together and for delegates to travel to Macau to attend the conference.

“Like all of you, we have carefully monitored this global health crisis,” Josephine Lee, Chief Operating Officer of Reed Exhibitions China, said.

“Our top priority is ensuring a safe environment for employees, customers, and exhibitors at G2E Asia.

“We made this decision in consultation with our exhibitors and the Macau government, and out of an abundance of caution. We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause and thank our customers for their continued support of G2E Asia.”

G2E Asia will continue to monitor the situation and remain in close contact with all the show stakeholders to provide updates as available.
