French and Dutch regulators sign agreement

The two national regulators have signed a memorandum of understanding.

France and the Netherlands.- The national regulators, France’s L’Autorité Nationale des Jeux (ANJ) and Holland’s Kansspelautoriteit (KSA), have agreed to collaborate on a range of issues.

ANJ chairwoman Isabelle Falque-Pierrotin and KSA chairman René Jansen have signed a memorandum of understanding designed to “enhance the efficiency of regulation”.

The agreement covers collaboration on issues ranging from money laundering and terrorism financing to player account management, advertising supervision and player protection.

Within France, the newly founded ANJ has also signed an agreement to collaborate and share information with the national police unit responsible for supervising casinos and racetracks, the Service Central des Courses et des Jeux (SCCJ).

The KSA has also signed an agreement with Sweden’s Spelinspektionen. The two regulators have agreed to collaborate on enforcement actions against operators that breach their licence conditions or operate illegally in either jurisdiction.

The regulator is preparing for the launch of regulated igaming in Holland next year.
