Your business is currently present in three different continents. What are the biggest differences between them?
Local culture. To conduct business with people from other cultures, you must put aside preconceived notions and strive to learn about the culture of your counterpart. People in different countries place different values and priorities on different products. FBM strives to expand its business by developing unique gaming products and systems, ensuring high quality products, in each market we operate.
What is the next big step for the company? What markets are you currently trying to reach?
We’ve made great progress in the last two years in all FBM markets, result of significant investments, high quality products and technology. We’ve built a solid reputation as one of the leading gaming companies in the market. We currently have some very interesting projects that we expect will come to fruition until next year: to continue our expansion in Mexico North America markets and Europe.

This year you’re celebrating your 15th anniversary since your foundation in Brazil, where a new gaming bill will be voted in October. If the industry is legalised, what do you think will be the biggest changes in the market? Besides other South American countries, do you think it would have a major impact worldwide?
The world’s leading gaming operators are already noting the potential of Latin America markets and some of them are looking particularly to Brazil. Legalised Gaming in Brazil will foment employment, tourism sector and generate possibly billions in taxes. Of course, gambling legalisation in Brazil will create a side effect in nearby markets such as Uruguay and Paraguay, but this also can be an opportunity for those countries, once the highlights will be in South America.
Which are your expectations for this new edition of G2E?
The event is a reference for gaming companies attracting operators coming from all over the Americas, Asia, Europe and Africa. FBM is particularly excited about G2E this year to meet many of our customers and successfully present new products on a global basis.
