Fanatics partners with Boyd Gaming to launch sports betting in Missouri

The companies plan to open a retail sportsbooks at Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City and Ameristar Casino Resort and Spa St. Charles.

US.- Fanatics Betting and Gaming has partnered with Boyd Gaming Corporation in the US state of Missouri. Through a multi-year agreement, Fanatics Sportsbook will operate mobile sports betting under Boyd’s licence.

The companies will open a retail sportsbooks at Boyd’s Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City and Ameristar Casino Resort and Spa St. Charles near St. Louis. Fanatics plans to launch its online and retail betting products when regulated sports wagering starts in the state on December 1, regulatory approvals pending.

The Fanatics Sportsbook retail locations will offer betting markets for major sports including professional and college football, basketball, hockey, baseball, tennis, soccer, golf, MMA and boxing.

FanDuel recently signed a partnership with Major League Soccer’s St. Louis City Soccer Club after losing out to Draft Kings and Circa sports for an untethered licence. The Missouri Gaming Commission (MGC) awarded untethered licences to DK Crown Holdings and Circa Hospitality Group last month, allowing them to offer mobile sports betting without partnering with a land-based casino or professional sports team.

Missouri voters approved sports betting through Amendment 2 in November 2024, passing the measure by a margin of 50.1 per cent. In accordance with federal law, under 21s will not be allowed to gamble.
