Arizona regulator reports sports betting handle increase in May and June
The sports betting handle was up 24.4 per cent year-over-year in May and 19.6 in June.
US.- The Arizona Department of Gaming (ADG) has released sports betting figures for May and June. For both months, the state saw a rise in sports betting wagers when compared to last year.
According to ADG, bettors wagered $707m in May. That’s an increase of 24.4 per cent year-over-year and a decrease of 5.3 per cent from April 2025. The state collected approximately $5.1m in privilege fees during the month.
In June, bettors wagered $542m, up 19.6 per cent form the same month in 2024 and down 23.4 from May. The state collected $5m in privilege fees. Arizona’s record monthly handle remains $867.6m set in November 2024.
The ADG recently issued cease-and-desist orders to four more unlicensed gambling operators. The regulator has said they were offering access to illegal online gambling, including sweepstakes and event wagering.
