Betway receives licences in Iowa and Poland
The operator Super Group continues its market expansion with the addition of a fifth live market in the US and a new licence in Europe.
US.- Betway operator Super Group has announced that the brand has received two new licenses, one in the state of Iowa, and the other in Poland. The Iowa licence is the brand’s fifth for a live US market. It already operates in Colorado, Indiana, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Super Group president and chief operating officer Richard Hasson said: “We are delighted to further Betway’s US presence with the addition of another live market there, as well as to enhance our formidable competitive position in Europe with the new license in Poland.
“This progress illustrates our focus and execution as we bring Betway, the premier and unified global online sports betting brand, to customers across markets and around the world. In our core geographies, we continue to thrive with market leading positions, scale and financial flexibility, operating a proven, cash generative business.”
In Poland, Super Group said Betway will seek to expand through football sponsorship deals. In the US, Betway is still operated by Digital Gaming Corporation (DGC), which owns the rights to use Betway branding, but Super Group agreed to acquire DGC earlier this year.
