Travellers International, the operator of Resorts World Manila, has reported that revenue declined by 12 per cent to PHP4.6bn (US$91.2m) in the second quarter of the year.

The Philippines.- Travellers International, the owner of Resorts World Manila, has shared its financial results for the second quarter of 2021, reporting that gross revenue reached PHP4.6bn (US$91.2m), down 12 per cent when compared to the previous quarter.

The company said it was deeply affected by the closures and countermeasures imposed by the government during the second quarter of the year.

Travellers International reported net income of PHP3.74bn for the second quarter. Gross gaming revenues stood at PHP3.4bn, while non-gaming revenues amounted to PHP1.2bn.

The company reported a profit of PHP2.6bn for the first six months of 2021. During the first quarter, Resorts World Manila registered a loss of PHP1.1bn (US$23m).

Resorts World Manila along with other casinos in the Entertainment City zone in Metro Manila will remain closed until August 20 following Manila’s government decision to extend the general community quarantine (GCQ).
