GKL reports net profit increase of more than 40% in 2025

GKL said the stronger performance was largely due to a recovery in international visitor traffic.

South Korea.- The foreigner-only casino operator Grand Korea Leisure (GKL) has posted a net profit increase of more than 40 per cent for 2025. That’s according to the company’s regulatory filing published on Wednesday, January 21.

Consolidated net income rose 42.4 per cent year-on-year to KRW47.1bn (US$32m), compared with KRW33.1bn (US$22.5m) in 2024. Pre-tax net income from continuing operations climbed 44.5 per cent to KRW63.1bn (US$42.9m).

Annual sales reached KRW422.9bn (US$287.7m), up 6.7 per cent from KRW396.4bn. Operating income rose 37.4 per cent to KRW52.6bn (US$35.8m), driven by higher casino use and improved cost management.

At the end of 2025, the operator had total assets of KRW651.3bn (US$443.2m), up from KRW616.2bn (US$419.3m). Total liabilities were KRW209.8bn (US$142.8m), while shareholders equity was KRW441.5bn (US$300.4m).

GKL, which runs the Seven Luck brand, said the stronger performance was largely due to a recovery in international visitor traffic and patronage.
