Arkansas gaming drives state revenue
During October 2019, state revenue in Arkansas beat previous forecasts by 7.1%, with a major contribution from the gaming industry.
US.- The Department of Finance and Administration in Arkansas showed successful results in October. The body showed that actual figures put original forecasts behind and beat them by 7.1%.
Arkansas revenue got a push from the gaming industry, which turned in US$2.5 million in revenue. Even though its lower than 2018’s US$2.9 million, the figure exceeded forecasts by US$300k.
Arkansas gaming evolution
Sports betting continues to expand across the US and another Arkansas casino will launch the segment. As a result, the Arkansas Racing Commission approved Saracen Casino Resort’s plans to operate sports betting.
John Boyce, slot director for Saracen Casino Resort, explained the segment launched at the casino on Tuesday. “It’s an amenity,” casino project manager Carlton Saffa added. “It’s one more option. In terms of a projection, we’ll see.”
First sports bet in Arkansas
