Operator highlights commitment to social responsibility as Zimbabwe’s gaming sector supports monthly environmental initiative.

Zimbabwe.- Premier Bet has joined Zimbabwe’s National Clean-Up Campaign, highlighting the increasing involvement of betting operators in community-driven initiatives beyond their core business.

Working in collaboration with the Lotteries and Gaming Board of Zimbabwe and other industry partners, the company emphasised that such initiatives promote environmental responsibility while strengthening community engagement.

Premier Bet Zimbabwe highlighted the importance of collective action in driving environmental change. The operator said it was “proud to participate” in the National Clean-Up Campaign, held every first Friday of the month across Zimbabwe, noting that the initiative continues to bring together regulators, operators and local communities.

The operator added that its involvement reflects a broader commitment to social responsibility, stating that it aims to “give back and play our part in building cleaner, healthier communities for everyone”.

Sector participation expands

The campaign also reflects wider engagement across Zimbabwe’s regulated gambling sector, with operators increasingly taking part in national initiatives. The clean-up drive is organised in partnership with the Ministry of Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage Zimbabwe, alongside stakeholders from across the casino, gaming and betting landscape.

The March edition consisted of activities carried out in central Harare as part of the nationwide effort. Zimbabwe’s programme was formalised under President Emmerson Mnangagwa, who declared that every first Friday of the month be observed as a national cleaning day.

As participation continues, the initiative is emerging as a platform for public-private collaboration, with the gambling sector increasingly visible in community-based efforts.
