ALGA appoints Moss Gondwe to board of directors

According to ALGA, Gondwe’s strategic leadership and governance experience will help support the development of regulated lotteries and gaming markets across the continent.

South Africa.- The African Lotteries & Gaming Association (ALGA) has appointed South African information and communications technology (ICT) executive Moss Gondwe to its board of directors.

ALGA announced the appointment on Tuesday, July 14, saying Gondwe’s experience in executive leadership, corporate governance and digital transformation will support the association’s efforts to promote innovation, responsible gaming and sustainable growth across Africa’s lotteries and gaming sector.

Gondwe has more than 40 years of leadership experience in the ICT industry. During his career, he has held senior leadership positions at IBM, Microsoft South Africa and Mimecast, where he led business growth initiatives, digital transformation programmes and public sector partnerships.

According to ALGA, Gondwe’s strategic leadership and governance experience will help the association strengthen collaboration and support the development of regulated lotteries and gaming markets across the continent.

The ALGA is a pan-African industry body that brings together national lotteries, gaming regulators, operators and suppliers to promote cooperation, responsible gambling and good governance. It also organises conferences, training programmes and knowledge-sharing initiatives to support the development of Africa’s regulated lotteries and gaming sector.
