Playson enters Kenya through Betika, with rollout extending to Uganda
Supplier launches flagship Hold and Win titles through Betika as Kenya strengthens its position as a gateway for international gaming providers in East Africa.
Kenya – Casino content supplier Playson has entered the Kenyan market through a new partnership with Betika, with the rollout also extending to Uganda as part of the supplier’s wider African expansion strategy.
The agreement expands Betika’s casino offering with titles including Thunder Coins: Hold and Win, 4 Pots Riches: Hold and Win and Coin Strike: Hold and Win, while giving Playson access to one of the region’s most competitive betting markets and a broader East African player base.
The games were deployed through the Casimba (Markor) aggregation platform, allowing rollout across multiple jurisdictions and supporting Playson’s first major move into Kenya. The supplier said the partnership forms part of its broader cross-continental growth strategy, with Betika’s market presence and local player insight providing a strong foundation for long-term expansion.
Kenya remains one of Africa’s most attractive markets for international B2B gaming suppliers due to its scale, high mobile penetration and mature digital payments ecosystem. For Betika, the deal further strengthens its position as a strategic operator partner for global providers looking to establish a foothold in regulated betting and casino markets across East Africa.
Conor Jenner, Senior Sales Manager at Playson, said: “Entering the Kenyan market is a major milestone for Playson, and doing so alongside a leading operator like Betika makes this step even more impactful. Betika’s strong market presence and deep understanding of its players provide an excellent foundation for our content to perform from day one.”

Jenner said Playson had made preparations to ensure a smooth rollout in the market. He added: “We have carefully adapted our infrastructure to meet local regulatory standards and operator requirements, ensuring a smooth rollout and high-quality player experience. We are excited about the opportunities this market presents and look forward to expanding our presence across Africa.”
Peter Stagles, Group Chief Product Officer at Betika, said: “We are pleased to partner with Playson and bring their globally recognised portfolio to our players in Kenya and Uganda. At Betika, we are continuously enhancing our offering by working with best-in-class partners to deliver engaging, high-quality entertainment experiences tailored to our markets.”
Ahead of the launch, Playson said it made targeted infrastructure and platform enhancements to ensure compliance with Kenyan regulatory requirements while aligning with Betika’s operational standards and customer expectations. The supplier added that the rollout was designed to support both regulatory standards and player experience expectations across the two markets.
The deal reflects continued supplier interest in African regulated gaming markets, with Kenya and Uganda increasingly attracting investment as operators look to strengthen casino offerings alongside traditional sportsbook growth.
