SportPesa’s Comet Crash gains momentum in Kenya as multiplier casino games expand

Crash-style titles continue to grow across betting platforms as operators introduce new incentives to drive engagement.

Kenya.- Comet Crash is gaining momentum in Kenya as multiplier-based online casino games expand across betting platforms, with SportPesa launching a campaign offering up to 30 free rounds per day that began on March 7 and runs until March 20.

Comet Crash is a crash-style online casino game in which users place bets before a round begins and watch a multiplier increase in real time as the game progresses. The objective is to cash out before the round “crashes”, as failing to exit in time results in the loss of the stake. The format is similar to popular titles such as Aviator, although Comet Crash uses a space-themed comet animation rather than an aircraft.

SportPesa said: “Players can earn up to 30 free rounds per day on Comet Crash Deluxe during the promotion period.” Each free round is valued at KSh10 (€0.07), with players qualifying by placing bets with multipliers between 1.2x and 100x, while both winning and losing wagers count towards eligibility.

The campaign also allows a minimum stake of KSh1 (€0.01), reflecting how operators are using low-entry betting thresholds and short game cycles to attract a broad mobile betting audience.

The multiplayer format allows multiple users to participate in the same round simultaneously, with each deciding when to cash out as the multiplier increases. SportPesa added that the game can theoretically reach multipliers of up to 1,000,000x, with maximum payouts capped at KSh5m (€36,000) per round.

Crash-style games have become an increasingly prominent feature on betting platforms due to their simple mechanics and rapid gameplay, with rounds often lasting only a few seconds and allowing users to enter continuously.
