MMG donates to vulnerable families in Blantyre

The Blantyre donation marks MMG’s first visible step into community engagement in Malawi since its launch in March 2025.

Malawi.- Up-and-coming online gaming operator Min Monte Gaming (MMG), in partnership with the Kukaya Kwithu Foundation, has donated assorted relief items to vulnerable families in Blantyre. The donation, which included groceries and non-food items worth over K2 million (€986), was made to support residents in Chirimba and nearby high-density areas where Kukaya Kwithu is active.

At the charity handover, the company urged Malawians to avoid relying on gambling as a solution to financial issues and emphasised its commitment to promoting fair play and responsible betting in the community.

Luka Jovanovic, MMG’s Chief Executive, stressed the importance of putting household needs first before using the platform. He said: “We encourage all our users to enjoy the MMG platform after they have taken care of their homes, families and essential responsibilities.”

The Blantyre donation marks MMG’s first visible step into community engagement in Malawi since its launch in March 2025. The generous gesture aligns with its wider strategy of building long-term relationships with local stakeholders and raising awareness about its brand as it seeks to gain a foothold in the Malawian market.

The Malawi gaming sector, regulated by the Malawi Gaming and Lotteries Authority (MAGLA), is home to nine operators, including Betika, Betpawa, Betway, 888bet and Premier Bet. Valued at $2.6m in 2020, the industry now generates at least $6.9m annually, as reported by MAGLA.
