Mauritius Lottery kicks off 2026 with boosted jackpots and higher stakes

Lottotech raises jackpot prizes and Match 3 payouts while introducing higher ticket prices, giving players more chances to win.

Mauritius.- Mauritius has entered 2026 with a reshaped national lottery landscape, as Lottotech Ltd rolls out major changes designed to deliver bigger jackpots and stronger payouts for players at a higher cost per ticket.

The operator of the Mauritius National Lottery confirmed that the revamped structure came into force on December 18, 2025, laying the foundation for a fundamentally redefined lottery market in 2026.

Lottotech said: “The starting Loto jackpot will be increased from Rs5m (€93,000) to Rs8m (€148,000), while the starting Loto Plus jackpot will rise from Rs3m (€56,000) to Rs5m (€93,000).”

The higher starting jackpots immediately elevate the appeal of both games, positioning Mauritius’ lottery offering more competitively as players begin the new year with larger potential wins on the table from the very first draw.

Match 3 payouts jump as ticket prices rise

Lottotech has also enhanced returns for lower-tier winners, increasing payouts for players matching three numbers, a key prize category for frequent participants. Match 3 winnings for Loto have risen from Rs100 (€1.85) to Rs150 (€2.80), while Loto Plus payouts have doubled from Rs50 (€0.90) to Rs100 (€1.85), improving value beyond the headline jackpots.

The improved prize structure is accompanied by a rise in ticket prices, reflecting what Lottotech describes as a new financial model for the games. Lottotech added: “As part of the new structure, the price of a Loto grid will be Rs30 (€0.55) instead of the previous Rs20 (€0.37), and the price of a Loto Plus grid will be Rs20 (€0.37) instead of Rs10 (€0.18).”

Lottotech has confirmed that all other game rules and draw procedures will stay the same, maintaining the familiar format for regular players.

As 2026 begins, these adjustments show Lottotech’s clear plan to boost participation with larger jackpots and better payouts. They aim to cover rising operational costs by increasing ticket prices.
