Senegal’s national lottery operator expands its regional network with a new agency in Kaffrine, reinforcing access to lottery services outside major urban centres.

Senegal.- Senegal’s national lottery operator LONASE has inaugurated its agency in Kaffrine, strengthening its presence in the country’s interior and improving access to lottery services for local communities.

LONASE is the state-owned operator responsible for managing lottery games and distribution nationwide, relying on a network of physical agencies and agents to serve customers across Senegal. LONASE said: “A new step to be even closer to you, with accessible, modern services that listen to you.”

Kaffrine, located in central Senegal and serving as the administrative capital of the Kaffrine Region, is an important hub for surrounding communities, making it a strategic location for the operator’s regional service coverage.

The inauguration highlights the continued importance of physical retail channels in Senegal’s lottery sector, where in-person service points remain central to distribution and customer access.

As a government-linked operator, LONASE continues to reinforce its national presence through regional agency rollouts aimed at improving service availability across the country’s interior.

LONASE has previously opened or formalised regional agencies in underserved areas, including the Bignona agency opening in the Casamance region, which was reported as part of its push into underserved regional markets. These initiatives carry a similar focus on improving access and proximity to players, making Kaffrine part of a broader, repeat expansion pattern rather than an isolated development.
