Accel Entertainment appoints Scott Levin as chief legal officer and secretary

Levin will oversee the company’s legal affairs and report to CEO Andy Rubenstein.

US.- Accel Entertainment has named Scott Levin as chief legal officer and secretary, effective immediately. He will oversee all the company’s legal affairs and report directly to CEO Andy Rubenstein.

Derek Harmer, former general counsel and chief compliance officer, will now serve as Accel’s first dedicated chief compliance officer.

Levin has held senior leadership positions with several public and private companies across various industries, including as CEO of FTD Companies and as the first general counsel for Morton’s Restaurant Group. Most recently, he founded and served as managing director of Portco Advisors.

Before that, he served as general counsel for companies including Torex Retail, a provider of information technology systems for the retail, fuel and convenience stores and pubs in Europe, and several startups, including Atlas Power Group, Coskata, eMac Digital, and OurHouse.

In November, Accel Entertainment completed the acquisition of 85 per cent of the ownership interests of Toucan Gaming and LSM Gaming, two Louisiana-based route operators and owners of licensed video poker establishments, for approximately $40m. The combined business will operate as Toucan Gaming throughout Louisiana and will be led by Stan Guidroz, current CEO of Toucan. Guidroz owns the remaining 15 per cent of Toucan’s ownership interests.
