West Virginia’s handle fell 16.3 per cent decrease month-on-month to $49.2m, but igaming was up.

US.- West Virginia’s sports betting handle saw another fall in February, coming in at $49.2m. That’s a drop of 16.3 per cent from the $58.8 posted in January. However, the figure was up by 29.8 per cent year-on-year increase (February 2021: $38.2m).

February’s revenue was down 52.3 per cent month-on-month at $1.9m compared to $4m, but that was 43.3 per cent higher than February 2021’s $1.4m. Taxes reached $195,500, a 43.9 per cent decrease from the month before ($348,342).

According to figures reported by the West Virginia Lottery, the igaming handle in February was $222m, up 15.7 per cent compared to January’s $192.1m. Last month’s revenue from online gaming was $8m a 17.3 per cent boost from $6.8m in January.
