West Virginia sportsbooks report $58.8m handle for January
West Virginia has reported a sports betting handle of $58.8m for January, a 21 per cent decrease from December.
US.- West Virginia sportsbooks have reported a combined handle of $58.8m for January, an increase of 16.2 per cent year-on-year (January 2021 $50.7m) but down 21 per cent from December’s $74.5m. The mobile sports betting handle was up 46.2 per cent year-on-year to $48.1m but again down when compared to December.
In terms of revenue, West Virginia also registered a decrease from December’s figures, down 33.7 per cent from $6.1m to $4m but up 3.1 per cent year-on-year. The state’s tax haul was $348,342, down from $525,066 in December. As for igaming, the handle was $192.1m down from $280.4m in December.
