Virginia casino revenue increases in August
Revenue was up 34.3 per cent year-over-year.
US.- The Virginia Lottery has released its report on casino gaming activity for August. Gaming revenue at Hard Rock Bristol, Rivers Casino Portsmouth, and Caesars Virginia totalled $84.8m, up 34.3 per cent year-over-year and 0,1 per cent from July 2025. Slots generated $65.5m and table games $19.2m.
Caesars Virginia reported $34.5m in adjusted gross gaming revenue (AGR), with $26.6m from slot machines and $8m from table games. Rivers Casino Portsmouth’s AGR was $28m, with $20.4m from slots and $7.6m from table games, and Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Bristol posted $22.3m, $18.6m from slot machines and $3.7m from table games.
The state collected $17.6m in taxes.
The Virginia Lottery reported $901m in profits for the 2025 fiscal year ending June 30. That’s the second-highest total in its 37-year history. Sales reached a record of $5.7bn, and $4.5bn was returned to players as prizes. Under the state law, all Lottery profits go to support K-12 public education.
