With legal sport betting about to launch in Maryland, the casino is getting the new space ready to open.
US.- In anticipation of the launch of sports betting in Maryland by the end of the year, MGM Resorts International has unveiled the first glimpse of its new sportsbook at MGM National Harbor Hotel & Casino.
The 8,000 square-foot BetMGM Sportsbook & Lounge has capacity for 350 people. It features a 110 foot-long wraparound video screen, recliner-to-stadium seating, a full bar, seven betting windows and 17 betting kiosks.
The National Harbor lounge is expected to open in mid-October as a food and beverage venue until the license for sports wagering is approved by the state Commission.
Chris Gumiela, vice president of BetMGM Marketing for MGM Resorts International, said in a statement: “The demand for sports betting continues to grow, and we look forward to offering this option to our guests in the near future.
“In planning our sports betting offerings, we’ve created the type of world-class experience visitors have come to expect from us.”
