The sports media company has signed deals with Caesars, DraftKings, FanDuel and BetRivers.

US.- After the New York Gaming Commission has officially legalised the operation of sports betting platforms in New York, the sports media company The Game Day has secured partnerships with the four sportsbooks now live including Caesars, DraftKings, FanDuel and BetRivers.

The Game Day has begun to market specific promotions and offerings to bettors. The firm stated that it provides the latest in news, entertainment, real-time updates and resources including odds, expert picks and direct access to affiliated sportsbooks and promotions to its community.

The firm offers operators the ability to quickly acquire bettors in New York and is currently in dialogue with the remaining five licensed operators who are expected to go live pending regulatory approval.

Mobile sports betting hits 17.2m transactions in first weekend

According to geolocation company Geocomply, the first weekend of New York mobile sports betting saw massive participation statewide with 17.2 million transactions over two days since the Saturday (January 8) morning launch.

In the first 12 hours New York bettors placed 5.8 million bets. The volume of bets represents the biggest debut by far and made for a debut that was over twice the size of the previous record-holder, Pennsylvania.
