Slot revenue up in Pennsylvania

Combined gross revenue from slot machines during April operations was up 0.2 per cent in Pennsylvania.

US.- The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) released its monthly report in which it was detailed that total gross revenue and tax revenue generated from slot machines in Pennsylvania posted a slight increase during April 2018.

According to the report, the combined gross revenue from slot machines at the 12 casinos in April of this year was US$206 million, 0.23 per cent higher than the April 2017 gross revenue figure of US$205 million.

Valley Forge Casino Resort posted the highest increase with a nine per cent rise from US$7.4 million to US$8 million, while Presque Isle Downs and Casino totalled US$10.2 million, a 7.22 per cent increase from the US$9.5 million registered during the same period in 2017. Part Casino completes the third position in the rankings with US$35.6 million collected last month, a 6.04 per cent rise from April 2017, when the facility totalled US$33.6 million.

The PGCB also noted that the tax revenue in April of this year was US$107 million. The average number of slot machines operating throughout Pennsylvania was 25,841 in April 2018 compared to 26,155 in April 2017.
