Rhode Island igaming revenue increases year-over-year
Igaming revenue totalled $4.8m, up 113 per cent from the same period in 2024.
US.- Rhode Island’s igaming revenue was $4.8m in May, up 113 per cent year-over-year. According to the Rhode Island Lottery, the combined handle was $129.1m, up 111 per cent, while combined prizes rose was $124.3m, up 110.8 per cent.
Online slots contributed $3.7m in revenue, up 128.9 per cent from the same period in 2024. Revenue was down from $3.6m in April, but wagers rose to $82.4m in May, up from $76.7m.
Online table games generated $1.1m, up 73.7 per cent year-over-year. Wagers totalled $46.7m.
Meanwhile, a proposal to allow more licences for sports betting is moving forward. The Senate recently voted 30-2 in favour of an amended version of majority leader Frank Ciccone’s Senate Bill 748, which now moves to the House.

Rhode Island currently has one sole sports betting brand: Sportsbook Rhode Island run by International Game Technology (IGT) under a contract with the Rhode Island Lottery. Bill 748 would open the market to competition by allowing up to five online sports betting licences to be granted through a competitive bidding process.
