Pennsylvania gaming revenue rises in March
Revenue increased 4.9 per cent year-over-year.
US.- The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) has reported that the combined revenue generated by gaming and fantasy contests in March totalled $602.4m. That’s an increase of 4.9 per cent year-over-year. Tax revenue was $259.2m.
According to the report, Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course led the market with $116.3m in revenue, up 8.5 per cent year-over-year. Valley Forge Casino Resort reported $98.8m, an increase of 14.6 per cent and Rivers Casino Philadelphia $60m, up 2.2 per cent. Parx Casino registered $57.9m, down 1.7 per cent.
Retail slot revenue totalled $216.2m, a 2.8 per cent decrease year-over-year. The number of slot machines in operation was 24,311 compared to 24,373 in March 2025. Retail table games revenue was $78.7m, down 3.9 per cent. Slots generated $109.2m in tax revenue and table games $13.4m.
Online gaming generated $254.7m in revenue, up 6.9 per cent from the same month in 2025. Online slots generated $201.4m, online table games $51.1m and online poker $2.2m. Tax revenue from online gaming totalled $117.3m.
The sports betting handle was $730.9m, down 13.3 per cent year-over-year. Taxable revenue was $47.9m, up 77 per cent from March 2025.
In March, the PGCB approved a $100,000 fine against BetMGM for failing to prevent fraudulent behaviour on the BetMGM and Borgata wagering platforms. Meanwhile, Happy Valley Casino will hold public test days on April 24 and 25 ahead of its opening at the Nittany Mall in State College.
