Happy Valley Casino in Pennsylvania announces test days ahead of opening

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board requires testing to ensure operations meet regulations.

US.- Happy Valley Casino in Pennsylvania has announced public test days on April 24 and 25 ahead of its opening. ‍Test days are a required step by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) to ensure operations and procedures meet regulations. The official opening date for the casino will be announced following the completion of the test period.

‍Happy Valley Casino is located at the Nittany Mall in State College. It will include up to 750 slot machines, 30 table games, a full-service restaurant and a quick-serve dining option.

Eric Pearson, general manager of Happy Valley Casino, said: “The Test Days are an exciting milestone for our team. We’re proud to welcome the community inside for the first time, not only to showcase what we’ve built, but also to give back to two incredible local organizations that make a meaningful impact every day.”

Pennsylvania gaming revenue increases year-over-year in February

The PGCB recently reported that the combined revenue generated by gaming and fantasy contests was $547.1m in February. That’s an increase of 14.64 per cent year-over-year. Tax revenue was $236m.

Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course led the market with $106.8m in revenue, up 19.3 per cent compared to the same month in 2025. Valley Forge Casino Resort followed with $93.7m, up 15 per cent, while Rivers Casino Philadelphia reported $56.1m, up 10.7 per cent, and Parx Casino posted $50.8m, an increase of 1.6 per cent.
