Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board issues two fines totaling $70,000

The regulator has also added seven people on its involuntary exclusion lists.

US.- The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) has approved two consent agreements presented by its Office of Enforcement Counsel (OEC) resulting in fines totalling $70,000. The regulator issued a $40,000 fine against Betfair Interactive US, Fanduel, for failure to license several employees, and a $30,000 fine against Sugarhouse HSP Gaming, operator of Rivers Philadelphia Casino, for two instances of allowing under 21s to access the gaming floor and gamble.

The PGCB also announced that it has placed seven people on its involuntary exclusion lists. Five were included on the Involuntary Casino Exclusion List, including a woman who left two minors in a hotel room at Hollywood Casino at the Meadows in order to gamble. Two others were placed on the Involuntary Interactive Gaming Exclusion list for fraudulent actions involving online gambling. Earlier in July, the PGCB placed 15 people on its lists.

Pennsylvania gaming revenue increases year-over-year in June

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) has reported that the combined revenue generated by all forms of gaming and fantasy contests was $544.6m in June, up 15.4 per cent year-over-year but down 9.5 per cent from May.

Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course reported $96.3m in revenue, up 30 per cent year-over year. Valley Forge Casino Resort reported $93.4m, up 46.3 per cent, and Rivers Casino Philadelphia $53.4m, up 12.2 per cent.
