The Oregon Lottery has reported a sports betting handle of $36.2m for March, down 8.2 per cent from February. Revenue was up, however.

US.- After a record-breaking month in January, Oregon’s sports betting handle slipped slightly in February and again in March. Last month’s handle came in at  $36.2m, down 8.2 per cent from February’s $39.5m.

However, that figure was 50.5 per cent higher than March 2021’s $24.1m, and sports betting revenue reached $3.6m, up 8.5 per cent from February’s $3.3m and 163.4 per cent from March 2021’s $1.4m. The Oregon Lottery reported that players wagered $36.1m at DraftKings and $24,836 at Scoreboard, which reported revenue of $3.6m and $5,295 respectively.

The Oregon Lottery, in partnership with DraftKings, is the only licensed operator of online sports betting in the state. The lottery’s Scoreboard online sportsbook, powered by DraftKings through its SBTech division, is currently being phased out in order to be replaced by the standard DraftKings sportsbook.

Basketball was the most bet on sport in Oregon in March, accounting for $23.2m in bets. Hockey generated $3.7m in bets, soccer $3.3m, tennis $2.7m and baseball $113,546. Other sports together accounted for $3.1m in wagers.
