US.- New York sports betting revenue fell 31.6 per cent month-on-month in July, raking $1.3m. That’s the second-lowest total this year after February’s $1.2m.
According to the New York State Gaming Commission (NYGC), Rush Street’s Rivers Casino & Resort in Schenectady led the segment with $541,497 in revenue, followed by the DraftKings-powered sportsbook at Del Lago Resort and Casino, which posted $312,192.
Resorts World Catskills followed with $300,642 in sports betting revenue, while Tioga Downs Casino‘s FanDuel sportsbook saw revenue of $119,290.
The only way to wager on sports in New York at the moment is at casinos, but that will change after Governor Andrew Cuomo signed off on the state’s annual budget to include the online segment.
The NYGC will allow two operators to debut online and is expected to choose its final candidates by the end of the year. The chosen providers will have to pay an initial fee of $25m and a sum of $5m annually to a casino partner, which will need to host the sports betting operator’s servers.
