Mozzartbet Group to withdraw from Malta igaming market
The group is making a strategic shift to focus on locally regulated markets.
Malta.- Mozzartbet Group has confirmed that it will withdraw from Malta’s online gambling market on October 1. The group has decided to cease operations under its Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) licence and to shut the Mozzart.com brand and associated affiliate programme as it shifts its focus towards locally regulated markets.
Mozzart.com has operated under Mozzartbet Malta Limited’s MGA licence since March 2019. However, the company is now prioritising markets where it holds domestic licences. The broader Mozzartbet Group is headquartered in Belgrade, Serbia. Founded in 2001 by Dejan Čakajac, it now has operations in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Romania, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria and North Macedonia as well as in its native Croatia. These operations will continue.
Meanwhile, the Malta Gaming Authority has published a new list of more gaming sites that it says are referencing the regulator despite not having MGA licences. The 11 sites on the list of URLs identified during August 2026 are as follows:

Any reference to the MGA and/or gaming licences said to be issued by the Maltese Authority is false and misleading, the MGA said.
