New Jersey gaming revenue increases in May

Revenue increased 2 per cent year-over-year.

US.- The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) has announced that gaming revenue from casinos, racetracks, and their partners totalled US$627.1m in May. That’s a rise of 2 per cent year-over-year and an increase from US$600.8m in April 2026.

According to the report, the casino win for the nine casinos totalled $265.6m, an increase of 0.1 per cent year-over-year. The online gaming win was US$276.3m, up 11.9 per cent. The sports betting gross revenue was US$85.2m, down 16.9 per cent. Total gross revenue taxes were US$87.4m for May.

Year-to-date total gaming revenue stands at US$2.93bn, an increase of 7.2 per cent compared to the prior year-to-date period. Total gross revenue taxes were US$419.5m. Year-to-date casino win was US$1.15bn, up 3 per cent, and the online gaming win was US$1.32bn, up 14.4 per cent. Year-to-date sports betting gross revenue stands at US$455.7m, down 1 per cent.

The DGE recently confirmed that casinos’ net gaming revenue for the first quarter of 2026 totalled US$725.6m, down 0.6 per cent compared to the same quarter in 2025. Casino licensees reported gross operating profit of US$104.7m, a 22.9 per cent decrease, while the occupancy rate at casino hotels was 64.6 per cent, up by 1.7 percentage points.
