New Jersey gaming revenue increases in March
Revenue from casinos, horse tracks and online operations grew by 3.7 per cent year-on-year.
US.- The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement has reported figures for March. The state’s casinos and horse tracks that offer sports betting reported $546.1m in gaming revenue, up 3.7 per cent from March 2024 ($526.6m) and up 12 per cent from February’s revenue of $484.8m.
The casino win for the nine Atlantic City casino hotels was $230.9m, down 3.7 per cent compared to March 2024 ($239.8m). The online gaming win was $243.9m, up 23.7 per cent year-on-year, setting a new record. Sports wagering gross revenue reached $71.3m, a 20.5 per cent increase.
In terms of in-person gambling, Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa won $58.3m, up 3.3 per cent; Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City $4.4m, up 0.2 per cent; Ocean Casino Resort $34.7m, down 14.8 per cent; Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City $21m, down 0.1 per cent; Tropicana Atlantic City $19.8m, down 0.1 per cent; Caesars Atlantic City $16.6m, down 10 per cent; Resorts Casino Hotel $13m, down 2.4 per cent, and Bally’s Atlantic City $11m, down 6 per cent.
For internet gambling revenue, six of the eight Atlantic City casinos licensed to host online gaming platforms saw all-time monthly highs.
Year-to-date gaming revenue stands at $1.58bn, up 2.5 per cent when compared to the prior year-to-date period. Gross taxes were $59.8m.
